Description: Create a new feature class with couple of text fields with default value set in ArcMap.
Add some features to it and you will see that for those features we see default values being populated.
Publish this feature class to ArcGIS Online as a hosted feature service.
Navigate to the item details page of this hosted feature layer. Click on 'Data' tab and then click on 'Fields' section.
Here, click on the field display name for the fields with default value. You will see that the 'Default value' displays as 'None' which isn't true.
Now open the same feature layer in map viewer and start the edit session. Add a feature on the map and it will show the default values for those fields for the feature against what is being displayed in the item details section of the feature layer.
Hence functionality wise this is working fine since the default values are being populated when you add a feature to the feature layer. But the default value information that shows up under Item details > Data > Fields > Click 'display name' for a field is incorrect and confusing.
